Participation in ProLyric's campaign will support and encourage the idea that music censorship is unfair. The enactment of this kind of censorship does not protect us; it limits us. Music is made for expression and enhancement; not to ruin someone’s day. Although in some cases, there is no valid reason for the implementation of music censorship. Lyrics are usually victims of music censorship because they are often mistaken for participating in offensive and stereotypical behavior. We need to take stand against these misinterpretations! The implication of music censorship is invasive and controlling; and most importantly, violates our freedom of expression rights.
